Inclusive Sports Coordinator – VIC and NSW

The role
We have 2x part time (2/3 days) fixed term (12 months) opportunities for a dedicated person to deliver Inclusive Sports programs through the My Active Life program in multiple regions across Victoria until the end of the grant-funded program. The program model will be evaluated, adapted and rolled out across additional regions around Australia over the next 12 months, where you will liaise with colleagues across the TAD Australia network.

General duties include;

  • Manage a schedule of Inclusive Sports events, activities and community engagement.
  • Work with Occupational Therapists operating in Regional Vic to promote Inclusive Sports days
  • Build and leverage your professional network to identify and develop partnership opportunities for disability sport, recreation and leisure activities that enhance community participation, and individual choice and control.
  • Develop and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders including service users, referral sources, community partners and organisations to support referral to Inclusive Sports Days, Freedom Wheels and extended Solve-TAD products and services.
  • Identify opportunities for and coordinate marketing and promotional campaigns such as trade shows, recreational presentations to industry and exhibitions.
  • Undertake a range of promotional and marketing activities including cold calling, professional networking, referrer visits and presentations, client presentations and other activities to drive engagement and meet referral KPI’s to Freedom Wheels and Inclusive Sports Days in Victoria.
  • Ensure program design is clearly communicated through high quality written materials including but not limited to e-communications, news, website and social media content, promotional and other communication materials to increase product sales in conjunction with state marketing teams and Project Manager.

About You

You will have previous experience in leading community or rehabilitation sport, recreation, leisure or lifestyle activities for people with disability.  Your organisational skills as well as your ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities will be exceptional. You will have the ability to develop solid working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders. You will approach your work honoring the values of Solve-TAD as well as your own in honesty and maintaining ethical and genuine practices.

Prior experience working for a NFP and/or within the Disability Sector will be highly regarded as will experience working with Allied Health Professionals.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Working with Children Check as well as an NDIS screening Check. This role will require some interstate travel.
